I can’t believe it but we’ve been Belo babies for almost 8 years now! It’s the brand I actually say that I matured with since I’ve been going to their clinics since I was 18 years old. I can still remember the first time I went to Belo Greenbelt and the first doctor I was introduced to. There, I got to learn early on how to take care of my skin and what I needed to enhance the blessings I was born with and to improve the imperfections I had.
I started with facials then moved on to body scrubs then to lasers. However, as much as I just wanna spend all my time in Belo, I can only spend a day or two in a month so I love procedures that will work right away, have little downtime and only have to do once or twice. My main problem has always been my pores and uneven skin tone. I’m also very acidic so it means make up doesn’t last on me, sometimes I get so lazy to put foundation that’s why I need skin that I can work with even without any base make up.
My Belo doctor, Dra Jetty Magalona, suggested that I do lasers to solve my skin problems. I used to do Revlite but Belo has since improved and upgraded this laser and now have Angel White..
What It’s For: I first tried it last December in their newest branch, Rockwell. I have alot of sun spots on my cheeks and this treatment targets melanin that helps whiten the skin and have an even skin tone. I have yet to try the feature but the laser has a Panda Eye Mode that helps to lighten dark under eyes :)
How It Feels: If your tolerance for pain is low, you’ll feel some sort of discomfort, it’s not really painful but it feels like little hot zaps on your skin. You can request for Emla for your first one (though you have to go 45 minutes before your procedure) but personally I suggest that you try without so you will know if you need anaesthesia on the next one. I have high tolerance for laser pain but I can assure you that it’s bearable. It’s uncomfortable but not painful.
How Your Skin Will Look After: There will be some redness for a few minutes right after but it will subside.
How Much Is It: I wish I had the full price list but I know that it depends on what body part you’ll use it on. You can call (02) 819-BELO to ask but with my estimate, it’s in range of $$-$$$.
My Belo Doctors: Dra Jetty Magalona for Belo BGC and Dr. Pampie for Belo Cebu.
