I’m a serial teeth stainer. Literally everything I love to drink are culprits when it comes to making my once pearly whites yellow. The number one culprit is coffee, which I drink a minimum of 4 times a day. There’s my go to drink – red wine that we all know once you start, you can lose count as to how many you’ve had especially when there’s great conversation to go with. There’s chocolate that I really cannot live without and green tea that I love to have before I sleep! So yup, guilty as charge, I am a serial teeth stainer. I used to always just try to ignore it and just think that I would rather have yellow teeth than live without coffee and everything else I love. Until I started to see how bad it’s become in photos! So I asked my trusted dentist, Dr Jo of Metrodental, if there was a remedy for this :)
Metrodental offers teeth whitening and after reading up on the benefits of this on their website, I booked an appointment right away! The dentists are professionally trained to know how white your teeth can go and if your set can take it. I had my teeth cleaned a few days before hand and she saw that they needed some TLC before the procedure so she gave me this cream that made it stronger so it can withstand the pressure of the medicine and machine. On my first experience, I only got to take the first two stages but on this one, I got to take all three! It’s fast because only after an hour, I got the results I needed :)
Now for the question all of you are asking, is it painful? A bit discomfort but you can tell your dentist if you can’t take it anymore and they’ll stop the procedure. This time though I felt almost nothing at all. I just became bored after awhile because it’s literally just being in the same position for an hour but thank God they had TV right in front of me wherein I got to watch a movie while waiting :) What I couldn’t take though was the pain after. Your teeth becomes dehydrated right after so it’s a little bit painful but after drinking a pain reliever, I got to go to sleep and woke up with no pain and whiter teeth! The procedure is about 18,000 pesos but I swear, worth it! It’s just like spending for a laser or any beauty procedure that can make a big difference :)
I’m sure the photos above convinced you, right? :P The difference is amazing!
