There’s no need to argue that we have the most beautiful islands in the worlds, in fact, 7,107 of them! When Verniece and I made a pact to discover more of the Philippines 2 years ago, we promised each other that we’ll try to visit more of the roads less taken. When CLUB PARADISE suggested we visit an island we’ve never heard before, we immediately said yes! The island offers tours to El Nido and it’s famous lagoons but when we had the opportunity to go to Diatoy Island, we opted for that, instead. I mean why not go somewhere new right? Plus, Palawan was awarded again and again of being number 1 island to visit. Lucky for us, there’s more than one to see :)
Diatoy Island is about 30 minutes away from the resort by speed boat and loved the fact that each tour comes with a boodle lunch, a captain, an assist plus someone from the food and beverage crew to help us with everything we needed. We left at around 2 pm so we’ll have enough time to enjoy the island before the sun goes down.
The island was so private that we were literally the only ones there. It was amazing to have one for ourselves even for just a few hours! They brought snorkeling gear which the boys used while Verniece and I sipped on two fresh coconuts while watching them from the shore. After about an hour of settling in and exploring, we ate the boodle lunch by the beach which made it so perfect!
We spent the rest of the afternoon just enjoying the beach and playing pusoy dos & tong its! haha! I can’t even remember how many times we played those two games! Losers always take a shot but good thing that Verniece and I were allowed to take sips from our G&Ts that were made just for us! :)
We boarded the boat back to Club Paradise just in time to enjoy the sunset while in transit :) We stopped at another island nearby where we got to appreciate it more. Verniece and I have been praying that we’ll find partners that would get along as much as we do and thank God Alf and Ben does! Now, where to go next?
