I’ve been a Belo baby for about officially 6 years now. My first ever proper facial as a teenager was with them and all my first steps into being more familiar with beauty procedures and products. I used to be so skeptical about going to beauty clinics. I had this notion that when I do, I might come out looking unnatural and won’t look like myself anymore. Then I got invited to my first Belo event and I even remember it being in the old Fort Strip in a Persian inspired restaurant! It was the time I first met Dra Belo and Cristalle who were some of the nicest people I’ve encountered. They never make you feel like you’re in the presence of beauty legends but just like getting re acquainted to a good friend you’ve lost in touch with :) They then invited me to come to Belo Greenbelt and that’s when I got to try some procedures that I still do up to today.
After going to my monthly visits, I was proved wrong. You can look natural even after going to a clinic but the only difference is, you will come out a better version of yourself. However, because of the Manila traffic that has built up over the past 2 years, I started going to Belo BGC instead and it has since become my Belo home. I’ve always been a big believer of things happening for a reason and even that applies to this because it was in that branch where I met Dra Jetty Magalona, who has become a person I’m comfortable being around with. Personally, I think It’s a factor that every patient should consider when it comes to choosing their beauty clinic. Dermatologists will see every inch of your skin, even parts of your body that you’re very insecure about so you should be with a doctor you won’t mind revealing these too :) It’s an added treat too that they just renovated the place!
It was only recently that I started to notice that people would be so curious as to what I’ve do with my face. Some even think that I had my WHOLE face surgically done because I look so different from my photos when I started blogging. LOL I guess what they don’t know is that with the correct NON surgical procedures, your whole face will change. For those who have been DYING (I know you haters are so this is my late Christmas gift to you :P ) to know, here are the beauty procedures I regularly do when I visit Belo BGC! :)
The Belo experience starts the moment you enter the BGC clinic. You’re greeted with a smile and a greeting from their very friendly receptionists and then a kuya comes up to you to ask you what you want to drink. Aside from the coffee, tea and juice they offer, there’s also some lemon water and iced tea waiting for you just by the door! :) Just a tip: request for more Scarlet cookies because they’re so good!! Verniece’s favorite is the chocolate chip one while I LOVE the lemon flavoured cookie :) Then after waiting for a few minutes in their lovely lounge, you’ll be led to a your own treatment room and the magic begins!
Over the years, I have tried a few but stuck to the ones that worked on me. My biggest insecurity has always been my skin. Being the only person in my family who was born with an uneven skin tone plus easily gets sun spots and freckles, it’s always been one of my goals to correct this! For this, I do:
-Body scrub. I do this atleast once a month and more after going to the beach or being exposed to the sun.
– Cinderella Drip. If my schedule permits it, I try to this atleast twice a month. I especially like this because not only does it help even my skin tone but it helps me strengthen my immune system because it has vitamin c in the mix.
–Belo‘s Illuminating Cream. I apply this everyday at night. It’s like a lotion but it has a whitening component to it that helps.
Next on my list of beauty priorities is the shape of my face. If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile now, you will notice that the original shape of my face is square and I hate it so much especially because most of my job always entails me to be infront of a camera for a photo or video. My face may look small in person but once you put me infront of a camera, my face looks double it’s usual size. So of course, I asked Dra Jetty and she recommended Exilis to me! I mix it with Revlite which helps tighten the skin on my face thus creating a more V shape. I try to alternate the treatments every two weeks! When it’s nearing my time of the month though, I do a facial first before revlite :)
The room below is the doctor’s clinic where I always meet the doctor. It’s sound proof so don’t worry! :P haha! Every person’s skin and solution will always be different. What works on me, might not work on you so always make sure to consult a legit doctor first before doing any procedure :)
People always have the notion that a Belo clinic is intimidating but trust me, after that first consultation with your chosen Belo doctor, you’ll feel right at home! :) Make sure that only Belo touches your skin!
