My dad first visited Whistler about 10 years ago for work and after seeing how magical the place looked during the winter, he came home with a promise that one day, he would bring us there. Finally, his silly dream came true this year! :) We left Manila for Canada last December 18 and took the trek up to Whistler to spend the next 9 days in the snow. After watching so much Western Christmas movies growing up, it’s become our idea that the perfect way to spend Christmas involved snow and freezing cold weather! :) I’m sure at some point growing up you imagined this too! There’s something about being around the Christmas tree, opening gifts with snow falling outside and drinking hot chocolate and wine that makes you feel the spirit more! Our Christmas eve was something my family will always remember. We couldn’t find a decent restaurant to eat dinner in because everything was full so we opted to just order room service and fix a little set up in the middle of the living room suite. We were still jet lagged so we all fell asleep at 7 pm waiting for 12 and by the time 10 pm came, we were all up to celebrate the coming of Christmas! :) We all felt like a kid again as we ate dinner in our pajamas in a small little space as we tried our best to hide “Santa’s” gifts for Verns in the porch. Right after dinner, we all opened a bottle of Raffa Sparkling Wine each and celebrated this little milestone that we’ll always remember :) We really made sure to bring it with us from the Philippines because it was that good!
RAFFA SPARKLING WINE is made by the Philippines’ largest liquor company, Emperador Distillers, Inc. They’re exclusively from the vineyards of Castilla de Mancha, the largest producer of wine in Spain. it was concocted to fit Filipino tastes and it only has 4% ABC so you can drink it anywhere, anytime but the quality is perfect to celebrate big or small occasions we have all year around. It’s made from the finest white grapes so you’re sure to have a high quality wine for a very affordable price. Plus it’s in small bottles that’s easy to carry around with you! :) I even had it during Christmas morning to go with my coffee and dark chocolates so it’s really easy to drink!
Seeing all these photos now that we’re back in the Philippines makes me miss that White Christmas we had! How did you celebrate it with your family? :) Would love to hear about it!
