There’s a saying that goes, tell me who your friends are and I’ll tell you who you are. Well, ladies and gentlemen, meet my best girlfriends, Kat and Banina! Verniece and I have barely talked about our lives outside our family and work for awhile now except for the snippets you would see on our Instagram stories. For those of you who read A Shoe Tale, you would know how much I used to share more of my life and I’ve actually missed it. I remember the days where I would post the most random things I did back then. Blogging was just so different 5 years go but we’ll talk about that on a separate blogpost :P
When I got an email from Cheers asking if I could document how my usual wine (or whine? lol) night usually goes with my friends and what products I use, I immediately said yes. With friends who work in the corporate world or have their own businesses to manage, it was an excuse to go beyond our usual routine of only seeing each other every 6 months to catch up and actually have a normal Friday night for a change! :) It’s a big deal when we actually get our schedules in sync! Kat, the one beside me on the photo above, works for an Ad company and we both know how busy that can make a person. Banina owns a preschool and if a kid is hard to handle, imagine managing a school full of it! haha I wish my three other friends were free too, again from those who read AST, Tommy, Marco and Gia would ring a bell to you. Maybe I could do this again? :) For now, here’s what happened!
You know you’re officially becoming a Tita of Manila when you buy plates solely for hosting visitors! lol I allotted one whole afternoon to prepare for this and I wish I had more time so I would’ve gone all our Heart Evangelista (do you see her set ups on Instagram?? *drool!*) on this. Nonetheless, I had so much fun buying the plates, the pretty containers, the food, choosing the wine and doing grocery :) Ofcourse, I didn’t miss out on including packs of the paper towels that my family and I have been using for years now, Cheers. Wine nights can be messy so I made sure to buy more than enough. It’s durable, the size is perfect for multiple uses and I love how each sheet has two designs – one that’s perfect for a classy night like this and another that’s more colorful, which can be used for more relaxed nights :) Plus, it’s available at any grocery I go to and I saw that they have designs perfect for the holidays too so I’m already planning on using those for our Christmas dinner!
While this set up may be different from the rest, the night went how it usually goes, with us catching up, talking about our plans for the future, the silly dreams we have (we usually even plan each other’s weddings just for fun! hahaha), drinking lots of wine and ending it with big smiles on our faces :) Cheers to little celebrations like this!
