I love LOOOOOVE wine. While I’m not in that 1 glass a day-before-bed phase yet, it’s been my choice of drink on weekends for awhile now. Ever since I graduated from moscato and started my infatuation with red wine, I knew that on my trip to Italy, I had to pass by Tuscany. I’ve always had the notion that Italian wines are one of the best in the world tied to French and I couldn’t miss the opportunity! :)
Ben and I are complete opposites. Ben hates wine, I love wine. Ben’s not a coffee drinker, my moods depend on coffee. Ben finds Eddie Murphy funny, I find him annoying. Ben loves New York, I love London. Ben’s a very chill-stay at home guy, while I love to be on the go. He loves to have 1 beer(zzzz) with friends on weekends, I love to stay in with my Netflix. I can go on and on… We have too much differences that when we do find something in common, we celebrate like we just discovered the cure for something. lol We got so bored in Tuscany on the 3rd day that we were dying to do something on our last full one. I suggested to go to Cinque Terre or do a wine tour in Tuscany but taking more photos or drinking alcohol that makes him sleepy weren’t his ideas of a fun day out. We were so desperate that we got brochures in the hotel lobby and he spent an hour just browsing and researching on them.
Finally, he found a tour that we BOTH would love!! :) hahaha! He found Chianti on A Vespa tour. Chianti is the region in Italy where the best wineries are located and we were going to explore it for a whole day on vespa! Imagine, I can have my day of wine and he can drive a vespa around wineries in Italy! :) We didn’t expect it but this was one of the memorable things we did! We were just smiling, ooh-ing and ahh-ing the whole time! :)
