Spending a few days in Cebu is nothing new to me as I go there at least once a month to visit my boyfriend who’s based there. However, just a few weeks ago, Mac Cosmetics made my trip a little more special by arranging a holiday getaway by the beach :) For 3 days and two nights, they flew in a few members of the media and the press and checked us all in at Shangri-la Mactan. The sole purpose of the trip was to discuss with us the beauty trends for Spring/Summer 2017. I remember seeing a few photos from their last one 2 years ago in Boracay and I was so happy to be invited to this one! :) Sadly, Verniece couldn’t join the trip cause of school :(
We were taken care of from the moment we arrived at the airport here in Manila. When we got to Cebu, lunch was waiting for us at Cowrie Cove then we had some free time to freshen up and get ready for our next event. We were all given one room each and were welcomed by a few goodies from their newest collection! One of them wasn’t even out in the market yet so that was a treat :)
Next on our agenda were sunset drinks at ocean pavilion followed by a welcome dinner to introduce the perfume line of Mac Cosmetics tailored and inspired by their classic lipstick shades. Love that there was a cocktail for each new scent!
Mac didn’t give us a full schedule the next day. We just had breakfast and lunch followed by a little make over by their in-house make up artists in our hotel rooms :) Mine was done by Angel Reyes- Manhilot!
Annnd now for the main event! We were asked to wear our best garden chic inspired outfits. Tita Tessa Prieto- Valdez hosted it and introduced the make up artist to the stars (hollywood, mind you!), Gregory Arlt. He’s been with MAC Cosmetics for decades and he’s done the likes of Angelina Jolie, Gwen Steffani and Dita Von Teese just to name a few :) He made it possible to make us mere make up mortals understand runway looks and how we can apply it to everyday life. He demonstrated all these to the beautiful faces of the MAC Glambassadors – Megan Bata, Ana Karylle, Bianca Manalo and Stephanie Zubiri. It was a lot of take in but I sure loved the monotone look where you just apply one colour to your whole face! I have to try the coral version soon! :)
We ended our trip with a farewell dinner by the beach! I wish I had more photos to show but you know you had fun when you barely took any ;) A big thank you to Mac Cosmetics for having me!
