Aruga, The Grove
I first didn’t get why apartels (apartment like hotels) became such a big thing but when I found myself living in hotels because of work, I understood why a lot of frequent travellers would prefer it. When you travel for a living and start to spend most of your time in hotels than at home, you would start to look for remnants of home. Pieces and parts of a room that would make you feel like you’re back at your own house. That’s why there are times when I book boutique hotels whenever I’m abroad only because they feel closer to home :) When the Rockwell group invited Verniece and I to experience Aruga at both The Grove and Rockwell, I was very excited to see what they look like here in the Philippines!
Our first weekend with Aruga was at their newer property, Aruga at The Grove. The hotel is located in Pasig. It has a very resort feel to it so it’s not so hard to miss since a place that looks so serene is right smack in the middle of bustling C5! The reception is infront while the rooms are at the condominiums behind. To take you there and for convenience (especially with the Manila heat!), they bring you with a golf cart! :) One that you can use again and again to go around the vicinity.
It’s been awhile since stayed in one here and I must say, that I love how spacious the room is! We got a two bedroom suite and it has all the amenities you can find in a flat – a complete kitchen, your own laundry room, a maid’s quarter (and restroom), a master bedroom, a living room, a guest room and a dining! :)
They welcomed us with these goodies!
and look who was very happy with them!
I love how you feel at home but it comes with hotel amenities and housekeeping services! The dream condo to live in! :P
I even took advantage of the kitchen and baked with my cousin, Mika! :)
We made sure to enjoy the pool after the room! :)
The dynamics for breakfast is very different in Aruga. In here, you don’t get your usual hotel buffet but you get vouchers you can use at two restaurants nearby :) It’s flexible because you can use it from 6 am till 6 pm! We chose to have ours at The Gardens :)
Overall, I’d love to stay here in Aruga again for another staycation just to bond with my family. With a setting like this, it’s easy for us to spend more time together since we’ll only have one common area to move in :) Also, it’s big enough for a big family like us! It’s not so expensive as well but you get a 5 star hotel service :) Till the next Aruga property!
