A love for architecture, even just a hint, is something you develop once you make a trip to New York. It’s buildings from decades ago are well preserved that it gives you a glimpse of just how beautiful the city must have been as well how design has developed overtime. Personally, if you ask me, I wish it stayed how it looked before since the little details are more intricate and thought of. Though, architects might argue with me on that and probably give a little shade! hahaha :) The Flat Iron Building and the Brooklyn Bridge are two designs and concepts that I wish they still made today.
We made sure to allocate one full day to hang around the area these landmarks are located in. We grabbed coffee in Dean and Deluca which is just a few meters walk from the Flat Iron, had our lunch at Burger and Lobster (I WAS SO HAPPY TO HAVE THIS THE SECOND TIME AROUND!) and then we took a subway plus a few minutes of walking to get to the Brooklyn Bridge :) I’ve seen the bridge from afar but seeing it upclose gave Verniece and I say, for the nth time, “OMG WE’RE IN NEW YORK!!!!” We didn’t get to take proper shots with it as the background because of the many tourists doing the same so we can’t wait to go back on August. This time, we’ll make sure to go back just a few minutes after sunset to get a decent one :) Till then!
