Let’s take a break from our Singapore travel posts, shall we? It’s exactly 3:07 am in the morning and I’m in my dad’s home office answering emails and squeezing in drafting a few blog posts in his desktop where the itunes are filled with songs from years ago. In short, out-dated! :P haha Funny how just a few lyrics or notes from a song can bring back so much memories that will either make you smile or make your irk! There are a few that make me feel the latter but thank God that more make me feel the first :) Let me take you through my playlist and a few words on what I remember :)
Song # 1: Pretty Eyes by Dream Brother. This song makes me miss my guy best friends who taught me the importance of almost everything I know right now. One of favorites is having the right taste in music and that life would be so much better if it was playing on the background and it’s in sync with what’s currently happening to you. I remember looking forward to weekends with them because we’d go on the most random road trips and listen to the perfect songs in the car :) It’s been almost two years since our last one and It’s been awhile but I know they’re true friends because nothing changes when we talk or see each other :)

Lesson Learned: Constant traveling can sometimes make you lose sight of what you have at home. Sigh.
Song # 2: Tonight I’m Getting Over You by Carly Rae Jepsen. This song reminds me of the night Verniece and I watched her concert and it was the night I can say our friendship started :)

Lesson Learned: Life is so much better when your sister and your bestfriend are the same person :)
Song # 3: Alive by Empire of the Sun. This song is one of my remembrances from the night my teenage life started! I’m a late bloomer and I can say my college life started only two years before I graduated and when I turned 19. haha!

Lesson Learned: It’s okay to grow up first then have fun later. You’ll be more responsible :P
Song # 4: Good For Me by Julian Maverick. This song reminds me of the first month Ben and I were talking. It was all on skype because he’s based there and I’m all the way here and ahhh I was so happy and kilig all the time! If you listen to this song, you’ll feel just the same and if you feel butterflies in your tummy? That’s how I felt.. x100 :P

Lesson Learned: The best relationships come when you least expect it :)
Song #5: Lost Queen by Pharrel Williams. This song reminds me of all the times I waited in the airport in the past year. For some reason, this is the only song I have on my phone and it’s on loop every single time :) I get so kilig listening to this while the plane takes off and the NAIA airport is below me then it disappears then I see the clouds. I play it again when the plane is about to take off and the clouds start to clear up and my destination appears. Ahhh it gives me butterflies!

Lesson Learned: Traveling makes you have this one big long distance relationship with what’s the world has to offer. You come back to reality when you’re home but every single time you’re off to a new destination, you’re back to the honeymoon stage again.
Hope you liked my trip down memory lane and the lessons I imparted with you :) Been awhile since I had a post like this :)
