I’m so happy that I’m finally sharing with you! One of my goals for 2015 is to learn something new every 3 months to keep my mind working and refreshed and my first course for the year is a short course on fashion management and marketing in Raffles Design Institute Manila. Just a little background on the school, the first campus was built in Singapore in 1990 but have since expanded to different countries around the world like Australia, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and of course here in the Philippines. They offer fashion and interior design related courses and some business courses. I honestly never imagined myself to take fashion school here in the Philippines but the universe works in the most mysterious ways and I know there’s a bigger reason why this great opportunity was given to me this year :)
Even if I work on a daily basis, I still get to go to school because of their very flexible schedule. I’m only in campus three times a week, half a day. The load of plates may be a bit heavy but because most of the subjects are project based, it doesn’t feel like work but more of play while learning. The campus is also just in Makati so it’s very convenient for me! :)
I’m taking three short courses – Fashion Marketing and Management, History of Costume and Fashion Promotion. I love how diverse all three are and they’re something I can actually apply to what I do for a living and it’s been inspiring me to actually do something more with blogging. I’ll be sharing with you a few lessons in the next few blog posts so watch out for it! :)
I’ve only been going to school for about 3 weeks but I’ve been learning so much already :) Can’t wait to see what Raffles has in store for me!
