Finally blogging about our day 2 at Disneyland!!! We were free to roam around on our own and explore the park at our own pace so Vern and I were more relaxed and comfortable. We also more time to stop and take pictures of the place and ride the ones we missed from day 1 :) Vern and I are biiiiigggg themepark fans so we were glad that we had one whole day to do it!
We finally had our obligatory tourist shots in front of Disneyland. I think this is tradition for everyone!! :)
We first had breakfast at Enchanted Garden Restaurant before leaving for the park and other than the cute Mickey Mouse themed food, our favorite part of the experience was that we got to eat with the characters upclose! :) They would really take time to stay in your table, joke around with you and take as much pictures as you want with them! It was a great way to start our second day :)
One of their newest additions at the park was the Monsters University Administraion Building where we create our own personalized Student Card and see the Monsters Universirty posters come life before your eyes! Sadly it’s a seasonal attraction that ended last October :( Vern and I had to skip it cause the wait was 45 minutes long! Too bad though cause we heard from the other bloggers we were with that it was worth it we can’t wait for the next attraction when we go there with Vern4!
One of the first things we saw when we entered was this band playing disney themed songs (ofcourse, what else??) and its cute how they put a jazz twist to it. We also got to talk to them after their set and most of them were Filipinos!
We didn’t get to spend our second day with David and Chiqui so Vern and David were too excited to see each other that they decided to do this.. I have no idea what got into them but it was so cute! haha!
We got one of these cute tumblers for little baby brother, Verne amongst all the other souvenirs we got for his room. Everything was too cute I even wanted one for myself.
these are three newest additions of Hong Kong Disneyland. We spent most of our time here exploring everything since we’ve exhausted all our time before on the older parts of the park :)
One of the newest attractions of Disneyland was the Grizzly Gulch and the Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars was my favorite! We wanted to ride it over and over again :)
Grizzly Gulch was amazing because it really takes you to a whole new different world. Everything down to the last little details were in theme! We felt like cowgirls the whole time.
It was so hot that day that I think Vern and I had 3 ice creams each.. haha! We blame it all on the sweets inside the park as to why we gained weight :( Everything was so worth it though! :)
annnnnd now off to Mystic Point! We were trying to recall what Disney movie this place was but we were informed by our guide the day before that it didn’t come from any and this is exclusively for Hong Kong Disneyland. They had one ride called the Mystic Manor where there’s this little magical music box that brings everything to life :)
Another new attraction is the Mystic Point and the ride was beautifully detailed. It was amazing how they used magnets to make the carriages move!
The ride’s main attraction for me was this cute little monkey Vern is kissing. You’ll find out why when you visit!
after trying all the attractions in those three new places, we finally had dinner at Adventures in Dining located at Adventureland. We were badly craving for curry and that was the only place around where they served it! We didn’t get to take pictures anymore since we were starving and only remembered to when we were halfway through it! HAHA! Yup, we did that much walking and there was too much adrenaline rush from the first few hours of the day that when it dropped, all we wanted to do was relax and enjoy the fireworks once more :)
Disneyland is such a magical place and I’m so happy that I got to experience it with Vern again. This experience is something we will both remember forever and its all thanks to Walt Disney and his magic! :) I swear, no matter how old you get, the place will always bring our the child in you :) It never fails!
Hope you enjoyed the little tour we gave you on Hong Kong Disneyland :) We’ll be back SOON so we’ll see you there? :)
